An Animal Biologist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Yi Gu, the Spatial Navigation an Memory Unit at the (NINDS).

The Gu laboratory aims to investigate the neural basis of spatial navigation an memory, with the ultimate goal to uncover the funamental principle of spatial cognition an the cause of relate neurological isorers. The caniate will participate in both lab management an research activity. Key responsibilities inclue:
(1) Organizing the lab, orering lab supplies, communicating with venors, an maintaining equipment
(2) Preparing common lab reagents
(3) Managing lab safety an animal protocols
(4) Breeing transgenic mice an genotyping
(5) Assisting lab members with experiments, such as roent surgeries, behavioral training, an in vivo imaging

Qualifications:
This position requires a minimal Bachelor’s egree in Biology or relate fiels. The caniate shoul have strong organizational, interpersonal, an time management skills, the ability to problem-solve an work inepenently. We expect the caniate to be motivate to learn new techniques an have excellent hans-on skills as he/she will be expecte to support the training an experiments of other lab members. We strongly prefer caniates with the following qualifications: consiering long-term careers as laboratory manager/technician, having past experience in lab management, animal research, an optical imaging.
