海本就读要申请研究生的学生一定要注意，提前规划好推荐信。仅仅成绩单好是不足以让教授写出很好的推荐信的。
Just earning a good grade in the class is not enough for me to be able to provide you with a substantive letter; ideally, I should know something about you, so it is in your best interest to make yourself known to me throughout the term. Visit me during office hours if you have questions about the course material, or want to discuss how/where you see it connect to other courses or life experience of yours, actively participate in class, and ask questions in and out of class if you have any. You should positively set yourself apart from your classmates. If you don't do these things, there isn't much that I can write about beyond your letter grade.
