一、关于申请者背景和专业经历
1.Tell me about yourself. What is your education background?
2.Why do you want to choose your graduate major?
3.What are your strengths and weaknesses?
4.In college, what courses did you enjoy the most?
其实面试之前教授早就看过你的资料了，对你已有所了解。因此这部分就是让候选者不要那么紧张，并且看看口语表达如何，思路是否清晰。
二、关于由申请者背景和专业经历所引出的更加深入的问题
1.Explain in further detail about your research or professional accomplishments.
2.What are the most substantial accomplishments from your background? Why do you consider these to be most significant?
3.Describe any research project you've worked on. What was the purpose of the project and what was your role in the project?
4.What are the advantage and disadvantages of your application?
5.Tell me why the program should admit you.
这类问题主要是想了解在申请者在相关领域都里都做了什么、研究了什么、又学到了什么。可以从分工、内容、能力、学到的研究方法这几个方面来说。这个部分一定要以积极的心态去回答，要突出你从这些经历中收获了什么，证明你的科研能力。
三、关于未来学习、研究和职业规划问题
1.What are the specific reasons that you have chosen to pursue advanced study in this field?
2.How this academic experience from the program directly related to your future personal and professional objectives?
3.If given an opportunity, what kind of topic would you like to do?
4.What are your long-term and short-term goals?
5.Describe your career aspiration.
这个部分主要是想了解一下申请者的研究计划和职业规划规划，考察学校和教授的实验室或者研究项目是否符合学生的兴趣，攻读博士研究生能否帮助他们达成目标。尽量将自己的研究兴趣和学校的优势匹配起来。
四、关于择校的问题
1.Why does this school appeal to you?
2.What do you think our program will bring help to your future? Why?
3.What do you believe your greatest challenge will be if you are accepted into this program?
4.What other schools are you considering?
5.Do you have other offers?
