      瓦格宁根大学是一所研究生命科学的著名高等学府，创建于1918年。学校所在的瓦格宁根城坐落在荷兰中部。瓦格宁根大学近几十年来，该校在植物、动物、环境、农业技术、食品和社会科学等领域已发展成为世界上重要的教学和研究中心。瓦格宁根是荷兰农业方向实力最强的大学，也是欧洲农业方向最好的研究型大学之一，在农业学科方面的研究机构中其排名为世界第一，在环境科学与生态学方面的研究机构中其排名世界第二。作为荷兰重要的教育院校，瓦格宁根开设了自然科学和社会科学的课程。课程覆盖很多领域：从植物学、食品技术和健康到供应链管理，从环境科学到生态学和经济学。
