近几年ata science异常的火热，但不要因为热潮去读。推荐一本书，《ata science for business》，作者是nyu的一个教授。这本书可以让你初步了解ata science，看看自己是否真的感兴趣。
相对于business analytics，ata science 更加偏向计算机和统计，因此，一般来说理工科的学生申请更有优势。ba更偏商。
美国数据科学（ata science）选校名单，附热门学校的基本申请要求：
1. 哈佛大学 harvar university
专业名称：sm ata science
课程长度：1年
专业背景：stuents with bachelor’s egrees in the natural sciences, mathematics, or engineering are invite to apply for amission
工作经验：无
注：不接受gmat代替gre，不接受ielts代替toefl。
特别需要注意的是：哈佛的s专业不接受gre，也不允许在任何的申请材料当中提及自己的gre成绩。
2. 哥伦比亚大学 columbia university
专业名称：ms in ata science
课程长度：2年
专业背景：quantitative coursework ﹙calculus, linear algebra, etc...﹚；computer programming coursework
工作经验：学生有工作经验，但不是必须的
3. 斯坦福大学 stanfor university
专业名称：m.s. in statistics: ata science
课程长度：5 quarters（1年3个quarters）
专业背景：较强的数学和计算机背景
工作经验：最好有但不强制
注：不接受gmat代替gre，不接受ielts代替toefl
4. 杜克大学 uke university
专业名称：master in interisciplinary ata science ﹙mis﹚
课程长度：2年
