we are seeking talente an enthusiastic stuents to join the horizon centre for octoral training ﹙ct﹚ from september 2021. we are an interisciplinary centre welcoming applicants from a wie range of backgrouns incluing computer science, engineering, mathematics, human factors, psychology, sociology, business, geography, social science an the arts. applicants must emonstrate an enthusiasm for transisciplinary research, with a 2:1 honours egree, or a combination of qualifications an/or experience equivalent to that level.

our epsrc fune creating our lives in ata programme is establishing technologies an methos to enable proucers an consumers in the igital economy to co-create smarter proucts in smarter ways, to re-establish trust in the use of personal ata. smarter proucts combine physical an igital technologies to eliver personalise blens of goos, services an user experiences. these are mae through co-creation an ata creativity in which consumers actively engage in shaping the proucts they use.

the centre brings together leaing figures from computing an engineering as well as the social sciences, business an humanities from the university of nottingham; plus researchers from the centre for computing an social responsibility at e montfort university. we are co-fune by epsrc an over 40 inustry, thir sector an international partners.

our stuents are innovating applications across sectors incluing consumer goos an foo, creative inustries, high value proucts, an health an wellbeing – seeking out new synergies between them. we o not expect every stuent to be an expert in all of the areas mentione above; our aim is to train people to work in transisciplinary teams, reay to become future leaers in inustry, the thir sector an acaemia.
